The Team

The QT Library Team

  • Keke (she/her) is a creative soul who delves into life's intricacies through human-centric dialogues. Her mission is to make everyone feel welcome and at ease in their own skin. By day, Keke serves as a Product Manager in the retail tech realm, and by night, she finds solace with pen, paper, and the gentle glow of a candle.

  • Madi (she/her) teaches 10th and 11th grade English, directs the school musical, facilitates Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshops, and acts as co-founder/advisor of the LGBTQIA+ Alliance Club at a Brooklyn Title I high school. Her classroom prioritizes student mental health and well-being, and she passionately believes in the positive impact of being an openly queer educator. In her free time, she likes to read lesbian romance novels and tell her cat how much she loves her.

  • Shane (they/them) has a very specific set of skills that have nothing to do with libraries and yet! They've also made books a huge part of their personality since they were young - ask anyone that's had to help them move. Building community is part of their lifelong campaign against loneliness. They like trying new things, finding the worst puns to disappoint their wife with, and when their dog comes and lies next to them on the couch.

  • Addie (she/her) is a social media manager who is physically incapable of sitting still, which has led to her taking on far more projects than she should (all of which she is extremely passionate about, so no you can't make her choose). When she's not playing around making silly little graphics or crying in the car to Maisie Peters, she's reading sapphic romance and queer YA books that heal her inner child.

  • niki (she/they) aspires to be a mercurial fog settling above the forest floor after a storm. they love reading fiction, solving puzzles, and cooperative board games. as the director of operations of the library they can be found confronting problems, implementing outlandish solutions, and hyping up their team members in the process. an architectural designer by day, they love to talk about making spaces accessible, equitable, and full of joy.

  • Alex (they/them) is a poet, organizer, and grade-A yearner located on the North Shore. When they aren’t volunteering at the Boston Poetry Slam or with QT Library, they fill their time with adventures, escapism, community, and (of course) writing. As a non-binary, queer, disabled individual, Alex aims to open up doors for others and curate spaces where people feel cozy, safe, and seen.

  • Hunter (he/him) is a trans guy from central Massachusetts with a passion for queer education, acceptance and identity development. He loves working and volunteering with non-profit organizations and diverse communities. He found a love of reading queer fiction books along with true crime and rom-coms. He works as an employment specialist for adults with autism while also interning with a start-up nonpartisan news outlet as the outreach coordinator. He has a passion for psychology with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Mathematical Sciences and an M.A. in Community Psychology with a concentration in Program Development.

  • Zoe (she/her) will talk forever about queer books, loves making playlists, and always commits to the bit. She can be found working with kids from 9-5 and serving in various community organizing capacities with the rest of her time.

  • Laurel enjoys spontaneous trips to mossy forests filled with soft light to capture natural beauty with their camera. They are a photographer, fiber artist, seminarian, and delighted cat owner. Laurel is attending BU School of Theology to get their Master of Divinity, where they help to lead the newspaper, a study group, and an organization of queer seminarians, as well as serving on the executive board of the student government. In their spare time you can find them napping.

  • Tedi (she/her) loves stories, astrology, and a puzzle or potato in any form. Her life consists of unfinished craft projects, the same three sitcoms, and an unrelenting need for cozy ambiance. As a continuing education student pursuing an English degree, she can often be found either complaining about writing or declaring it her one true passion. Her actual one true passion, however, is making people feel safe and seen and understood in whatever way she can.

  • Patrick (he/him) grew up in South Carolina and now resides in Boston, MA, where he worked as an academic librarian and archivist for 8 years. He now works in corporate knowledge management and is eager to create a space for queer and trans folx who love all things libraries and books.

  • JAKE (he/they) has nearly a decade of experience in identity-conscious leadership and social justice consulting. As our Director of Racial Justice & Black Advocacy, he helps us to foster an inclusive, justice-first, and racially-conscious community. JAKE's primary focus is ensuring we build a culturally responsive library. He loves kayaking on the Charles, playing the ukulele, and teaching his dog new tricks.

  • Jake (he/any) devours queer literature (and carbs) whenever he is not working as a gathering designer, theatre-maker, arts educator, creative producer, writer, and sound designer. In addition to his work with the QT Library, Jake is the executive administrator at Pomegranate Arts and creates extraordinary gatherings as JETco. with co-conspirator Eli Schleicher.

  • Carli (she/they) is a writer and editor who actively chose to live in the Boston area. When they're not working to improve the internet just a bit, they're playing video games, watching movies, or being their basic self at a cafe with a book.
